Building off lasts years successful race, this year’s GCSUPC is no longer a race it is an event. Adding to Saturday’s races, the Elite Race and the Open Race, there will be 3 new races on Sunday, a Kids Race, a Relay Race and the debut of Paddle X. The word spread quickly about the GCSUPC after last year’s race and we anticipate the most star studded event ever to take place in Florida. Last year’s champions Slater Trout and Brandi Baksic are making the trek back along with World Champion Candice Appleby and SUP icon EJ Johnson. We welcome the sanctioning of the World Paddle Association and are happy to be one of their National races by being the region 5 Championship race. Dave Kalama is coming back to host both a Kalama Kamp the week before the race and his race clinic. We are adding a Women’s only clinic hosted by Candice Appleby. We are extremely proud of the growth of the GCSUPC and we look forward to this year’s event.
